The Role

Sheffield Students’ Union is looking for a Student Bar & Catering Assistant to join our busy Bars team. The role will vary slightly depending on the outlet, however serving food and drink to customers and providing excellent customer service is key in these roles.

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate; a genuine commitment to providing a high standard of customer care, an ability to take ownership of problems and work hard to resolve them, have good communication, ability to work as a team, problem-solving skills and have a positive and flexible approach to the role.

Key duties in this role include:

- Delivering outstanding levels of customer service at all times

- Maintaining excellent knowledge of products and offers, and communicate these appropriately to customers

- Efficient operation of the tills and accurate processing of transactions

- Ensure compliance with relevant: licencing laws; Food Standards Agency regulations; and health & safety legislation
