WHO ARE WE?

The Student Communities and Influence Directorates are at the heart of our student-facing services. Delivering support for student Societies, Volunteering Projects, policy and campaigns, student representation and free confidential advice on all aspects of student life, our teams are collectively involved with almost every student in the SU Building. We are recruiting for a variety of roles to support these teams through office-based work, often on the front line of student engagement.

AVAILABLE ROLES

Voice & Advocacy Facilitators - 5 roles available, 7 hours/week term time

Change Lab Assistants - 2 roles available, 7 hours/week term time

Fundraising Assistant - 1 role available, 14 hours/week, term-time only

Volunteering Assistants - 2 roles available,  14 hours/week, term-time only

Belonging Assistants - 3 roles available, 10 hrs/week, Term-Time October to June

Advice Centre receptionist - Fridays only - 6 hours + additional cover needed for Student Influence Assistant annual leave

HOW DO I APPLY?

Complete a short application form online, within which you can express a preference for one or more of the roles. We’ll also ask a few questions to check your suitability for the positions. Successful applicants will be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre day on Monday 29th June, during which you’ll take part in a combination of group activities and one-to-one informal conversations with the team. We will then allocate any applicants who are successful at interview to the roles based on performance and preferences indicated in your form.
