Community Fundraising Assistant - Sheffield's Students' Union

The Role

Sheffield Students’ Union is looking for a Community Fundraising Assistant to join the Student Opportunities Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the Community Engagement Coordinator in engaging our students and enabling them to deliver effective fundraising events and campaigns, primarily aimed at supporting the local South Yorkshire and Derbyshire community.

This is a great opportunity for individuals to gain experience working within and alongside the fundraising and charity sector as well as being a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience of organising events.

We are looking for an effective administrator with a sound understanding of the motivations/barriers for university students and organisations in relation to involving students. You’ll need to be friendly, calm and efficient, possess strong numerical and communication skills and excel at dealing with a high volume of enquiries, applications and competing demands whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Alongside working with students to organise fundraising events and campaigns, you will be responsible for the administration of the Sheffield RAG programme, answering enquiries and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and other policies.

Specific Hours: Flexible
Expected hours: 14hrs per week
(up to 18 hours per week)
