The Role

Sheffield University ’Students’ Union Nursery provides early year’s provision for children aged 6 months to 5 years old, offering high quality teaching and learning experiences, delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and registered with Ofsted.

The Nursery has 64 childcare places per session and is located close to the University campus with excellent transport links.

We are looking to recruit a qualified Early Years Practitioner who will deliver the EYFS curriculum and be responsible for child development via recording, assessment and planning.  You will also be expected to work with families to build open and professional partnerships.

You will have a minimum level 3 qualification in child care and 1 years’ experience of working with children outside of your childcare training.  You should have strong communication skills and be able to interact positively with children to create an excellent learning environment.

A satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role.

This role will be to cover a current staff member's maternity. We expect the end date of this role to be in March/April 2020.

Salary: £17,553 - £20,651 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Fridays on a rota between 8am -6pm)
