The Role 

Are you confident, disciplined, trustworthy, a good team member, friendly and enthusiastic?  Join our popular and professional team providing a quality evening security presence at our clubs, bars, functions and concerts.  Successful candidates will hold a full Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence.

We welcome enquiries from everyone and value diversity in our workforce.

Working hours will predominantly cover evenings and late nights during University term-time.  There will also be an opportunity for some additional paid hours during the vacation period.

For non SIA licensed applicants full training to achieve the SIA Door Supervisors licence will be provided. 

Non SIA licensed applicants must be available to attend training for the required 6 day, SIA course running from 9am to 4pm each day, on the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th and 17th of September.

Salary: £9.20ph for Non SIA licensed staff ( £8.21 + 0.99p holiday entitlement) / £9.56 for SIA Badge holders (£8.54 + £1.02 holiday entitlement) 

Full training will be given and then the higher rate of £9.56 per hour will become payable once SIA licensed status has been achieved.

Start Date:     Unlicensed applicants 9th September 2019 (for SIA & induction training)

Start Date:     SIA licensed applicants 18th September 2019 ( For induction training) 

Please note: full-time students at the University of Sheffield are not permitted to work more than 16 hours per week
