The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hard-working individual with a positive attitude to join our team. Sheffield Students’ Union has a bustling events programme ranging from Club Nights and Awards Ceremonies, to Fairs and Conferences so an interest in Events management is a bonus. 

In taking on this role, you’ll be joining a friendly and upbeat team who coordinate the hundreds of events that run throughout the academic year. Your help will be crucial in the delivery and development of the events programme by assisting with enquiries, designing and producing event materials and advertising content and supporting with operational tasks at select events.

Training will be given by members of the team to help better understand the role and relevant processes. Opportunities to shadow senior members of the team will also be made available.

Salary: Under 25 : £8.62 per hour (£7.70 per hour + £0.92 Holiday Entitlement) Over 25: £9.20 per hour (£8.21 per hour + £0.99 Holiday Entitlement)

Hours: You’ll be expected to work between 6-8 hours on a weekly basis during term-time. Working hours are flexible and will vary depending on business needs and your availability.

Start Date: Monday 16th September
