The Role
Joining a team of eight (including four other Student Communities Coordinators), you will support student leaders and volunteers to build a sense of community and belonging for a wide and diverse range of students.
The working environment is collaborative and dynamic, responding to the needs of our membership, and this role would suit someone with skill in handling challenging conversations and sensitive, often contradictory, viewpoints.
We are particularly interested in speaking to candidates with lived or professional experience of working and building relationships with groups facing particular challenges/barriers to engagement.
Key duties in this role include:
- Understand and Empower Academic Representatives.
- Build relationships in the Academic Rep system from Academic reps to University staff.
- Support Student Community Organisers with training and delivery of high-quality projects
- Support with student groups & communities with planning, development and data insights
- Work closely with all stakeholders (both internal and third party) to maintain and build relationships
