Working for a multi-award winning Students' Union, these two flex staff roles offers you the platform to research and deliver an exciting programme of student sports and societies volunteering opportunities.
As a student-led organisation, this role provides a valuable way for us to directly embed student voice and experience within our services - informing and developing our offer at a pivotal time to make a positive impact on the student experience.
You’ll gain valuable skills and experience, as well as boosting your networks - all while getting paid.
The Student Communities, Development and Opportunities team provides a range of opportunities for students - helping to build a strong sense of community and belonging for students during their time at University, and supporting students to develop valuable skills and experience.
Community volunteering provides a huge range of benefits for our passionate sports teams and student groups as well as local schools and community groups.
The Role
The exciting flex staff role provides the chance to work directly with student sports groups and societies to research, deliver and evaluate an exciting activity programme.
We need someone to:
- Work with sports teams and societies to explore what volunteering opportunities are of interest/beneficial
- Organise a timetable of volunteering activities which meet the needs of students and community organisations
You’ll work directly with students and have the support of a number of staff teams across the organisation to deliver your project.
Skills and attitude: - Ability to organise in a systematic way
- Some knowledge of the community volunteering/third sector
- Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Salary: £12.21 per hour
Specific Hours: Flexible
Expected hours: 14hrs per week
(up to 18 hours per week)
Maximum of 30 weeks
